Around 30 people gathered at the Oxford Science Park on Thursday 26th November to hear talks from Dr Tim Watkin, a patent attorney at Marks & Clerk, Alison Haill (host) from Oxford Professional Consulting, Helen Simpson from UKTI and Maggie Ma from MOLAES Chinese Business Consultancy.

Unfortunately Jenny Plaister-Ten of 10 Consulting was unable to speak due to illness but Alison Haill ably deputised with the help of Jenny's slides.

Topics covered ranged from the cultural differences toward intellectual property to the practical issues of doing business in the ASEAN region.

Attendees enjoyed an excellent meal after the talks and the panel session and networking continued long into the evening. We are exceptionally grateful to Marks & Clerk for their support with this event and hope that the attendees found the event worthwhile.
